Cinco de Mayo

What a great afternoon we had here at the food bank. In celebration of Cinco de Mayo our employee activity committee pulled together a terrific employee event. They arranged for a Mexican DJ to play music and lead the group through a couple of games and dances. We also had a miniature maraca decorating contest and a homemade salsa competition. A couple of us manned the grill and cooked up steaks to go along with a wide array of other Mexican food specialties which created a wonderful buffet for everyone to enjoy. We also recognized 15 of our employees who had recently completed a 16-hour conversational Spanish class we sponsored here at the food bank.

It was a welcomed, relaxed couple of hours for our staff here at St Mary’s who work so hard on a daily basis. We’ve got an incredible group of dedicated folks who work so well together…..events like these really help keep the teamwork alive and well!
