31st Avenue Remodeling Project

About three weeks ago, we kicked off a major remodeling project to the St. Mary’s/Westside Food Bank Alliance location on 31st Avenue. Ultimately this construction is designed to provide more space in our administration area and allow us to better utilize volunteer support. It will also provide us with a wonderful new meeting room which can accommodate corporate or community groups that want to come to our facility, conduct a business meeting and then join us for a few hours of volunteering. The project will take until September 2006 for full completion but once finished, will be a terrific center, allowing us to encourage more community volunteerism in supporting our mission.
